Arimoi is now open! If you've apped in, welcome to an RP group all about people turning into monsters; brace your characters, get to know the characters and players you'll be playing with, and start dreaming up changes and plots you'd like to play.

If you haven't apped in, don't be shy; toss a character our way!

I'll put an introductory mingle up soonish; it'll feature a group summoning by the Joyous Order, and give characters a chance to meet and bond over a daring escape. From that point on, it's your game. Make open posts dressing-room-style, come up with events or mingles, post memes, solicit PSLs; whatever strikes your fancy.

For now, this is an OOC mingle, where you can say hi, discuss monster designs/changes/plans, pitch ideas for things you want to do in the setting and find co-conspirators to arrange plots with, etc. This post will stay open...forever, technically, but I'm going to try to post a new one of these every month or so, to give new characters some time at the top of the comments and keep the ideas wheel turning. This is an informal kind of thing; treat it like a low-pressure monster chat room.

ALSO: we now have a modplurk at arimoi, which I will be using for announcement-type stuff in the future instead of my personal plurk. In addition to announcing modly OOC stuff, you can also ping it or ping/message me to have it replurk or natively plurk Arimoi-related things, like OOC/meme/mingle posts on this comm, Plurk memes or discussions that would benefit from being seen by everyone, or even things like monster art commissions.

HELLO GUYS it's weird to be the literal first into a new game/box/thing but wow here we are I guess-

So I've brought in Reira as 'slightly AU due to headcanon'; specifically they are a girl, reasoning is the first thing on her app in fact, so we'll leave it all at that since that's Basically It. They go by 'she', the end-

MORE IMPORTANT, Reira's not coming in alone, she sort of just finished sealing the SUPREME DRAGON KING 'ZARC' in her soul. She was supposed to reincarnate from there. Instead she's here with you lot, and Zarc being a single being still, is a little more eagerly chatty than he was when he was cut in four so that sucks.

She's coming in with her duel disk too, so that's a thing. BUT ANYWAY enough about me let's plot I've been rubbing my hands waiting for this for a WHILE~

SUP GUYS the IC intro is on its way, gotta run to work first.

This is Hallelujah, he's a nice kid with self-esteem issues, all the important stuff to know is on his journal; he'll be turning from a half-human-half-demon into a nymph, which...I have yet to make any decisions about the design of, so I guess I'll be playing that by ear?? He's accompanied by Chironnupu, a dear friend who is summoned by way of cell phone and is very cute and soft and makes weird fox noises to protect friends from getting hurt.

I have no real plans for what I want to play out long-term, except that nymph territoriality might mix in an interesting way with Hallelujah's lack of self-worth and idolization of a yakuza boss toughguy. I know in the short-term I'd like Hal to cohabitate with or just stick closely to at least one other monster, for ease of CR/threading and because latching onto someone is IC for him. No plans for blood magic just yet, would rather focus on the transformation process and the being-a-monster-in-a-human-society problems first.

Hey losers it's Kururu. Queen of AUs and Ivalice, but also an Eorzea nerd. I decided to keep it simple with Alisaie here - well, AU!Alisaie who ended up in a Bad Timeline. (AKA my Roleswap Fic. Spoilers for that since it's not up to that, but whatever. Her and her brothers' roles never really swapped, since they were born together. And yes, this means that in this fic, Urianger is an Ascian. And still had his role swapped.)

Anyway she took on the soul of the Dreadwyrm Bahamut due to her brother being a dumbass and needing a way to quickly deal with it so angry Ala Mhigans couldn't abuse that power. And then sealed herself away so nobody would summon her. A Bad Choice because look who's been summoned again and is gonna be a Celestial because one of her biggest fears is tempering people and being worshipped. I guess a God has been summoned, and she is Pissed Off.

IDK I might bring some more Eorzeans (who wants Dragon!Haurchefant), Ivalicians or maybe even some losers from my Nuzlocke universe. (It's a FF Crossover And Also Fankids.)

And gonna become a Sphinx because even the RNG loves irony. In the comic, he's... becoming a Zoroark slowly after his Dream World Bullshit. He also has a fluffbird Togekiss with him.

Hello party people! I don't think I know anyone here personally yet, but I'm bringing y'all Prompto Argentum from Final Fantasy XV. He's a chatty, whiny, good-hearted guy who just wants to help his friends restore light to the world and so on and so forth--so of course he'll be turning into a shadow Elemental, because reasons.

I'm bringing him in from a patch of rough time, so he won't be quite up to his usual sunny, bouncy self right away, but he'll be doing his best to keep everyone's spirits up while missing his friends terribly on the inside. That said, if anyone plays FFXV characters or knows people who do, please. Ask them not to leave Prompto unattended. This is going to be a disaster.
